Tintype Photography Workshop
Old-Fashioned Photography Studio.
“On the Run, Tintype Studio”
An exclusive offer for passport holders.
The Val-Jalbert Historic Village invites its passport holders to an extraordinary artistic experience: a tintype (ferrotype). To kick off the 2026 season, we are welcoming photographer Yves Lavoie from the renowned Studio Éphémère.
The tintype is a photographic process dating back to the 19the century that involves fixing an image onto a black metal plate. The result? A unique, timeless portrait with a depth and texture that cannot be reproduced digitally.
Experience the ritual of posing as you settle in for a 30- to 45-minute session where time seems to stand still. More than just a photo, it’s a true journey into the techniques of yesteryear.
